Truth Like the Sun, by Jim Lynch

Jim Lynch’s new novel, Truth Like the Sun, is a treat, a smart and morally complex political thriller about ambitious men and women and the lies they tell themselves in their quest for success. My full review appears on bookreporter.com.

  1. I read the available Kindle sample over the weekend and loved the tone. It had a different cadence than his two earlier novels, both of which I enjoyed. (The Highest Tide probably squeaked into position as a favorite book.) It’s definitely cut in line on my to read pile, right up there with Robert Olmstead’s latest. And after reading your review, I look forward to TRUTH LIKE THE SUN even more.

  2. I read the Kindle sample over the weekend, so I’m happy to see your review. I loved the tone in the opening chapters–different than Lynch’s previous two novels. (The Highest Tide squeaked onto my list of favorite books when I read it, and I liked Border Songs quite a bit.) So TRUTH LIKE THE SUN just cut in line on my to read next pile…right up there with Robert Olmstead’s latest. Thanks for the review!
